‘GHOST DIALYSIS’ INAMIN; OPISYAL, KAWANI KAKASUHAN NG PHILHEALTH

INAALAM  ng Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) kung may empleyadong kasabwat sa ‘ghost dialysis’ ng ilang dialysis center.

“Kung mayroong kasabwat… we will give necessary due process
and penalty,” pahayag Dr. Shirley Domingo, tagapagsalita ng PhilHealth, sa panayam sa media.

Kinumpirma ni Dr. Domingo na maraming kaso ng ghost patients, false claims, misrepresentation at upcasing, ang iniimbestigahan ng legal department ng PhilHealth.

“Our record shows that currently we are investigating up to 8,900 cases,” dagdag Domingo.

Aniya, kanilang sisilipin din ang pagkakasangkot ng mga nagpapatakbo ng dialysis center sa nabanggit na tiwaling gawain.

Inihayag pa Dr. Domingo na kanilang titimbangin mabuti kung kanilang babawiin ang accreditation ng mga tiwaling dialysis center gaya ng WellMed Dialysis and Laboratory.
“Depende sa findings at severity (ng paglabag sa batas). At  most, we can revoke their accreditation,” diin Domingo.

Pinabulaanan naman ng WellMed, sa pamamagitan ng kanilang legal counsel, ang isiniwalat na anomalya dito ng dalawang dati nilang empleyado na sina Edwin Roberto at Liezel Santos.

“WELLMED and its owners did not and would not in any way consent to or participate in any ghost dialysis or fraudulent scheme as described by Mr. Roberto,” diin ng statement ng Gargantiel Ilagan and Atanante Law
Firm.
